Data Integration#
Managed cloud-to-cloud transfer for data-driven mobility services
The automotive industry is experiencing a shift towards a more data-driven business. The prerequisite is having the right data available at the right time and in the right place. Data providers need a convenient solution to transfer data from one cloud infrastructure to another. They must manage the growing number of data sources, consumers, interfaces, and transfer protocols, while ensuring the highest data privacy and security standards as well as a fast transfer without data loss.

Service Description#
Highly flexible tool for data-driven use cases
Data Integration is the intermediary that orchestrates a fast and easy data exchange between entities to reduce complexity and development costs. It serves as a simple channel into other solutions, allowing data consumers to focus on domain-specific business use cases instead of connectivity issues. The fully managed cloud service takes care of the infrastructural challenges of data distribution, data processing, and authorization. Data Integration is TISAX certified.
Core Benefits#
Data Integration offers a variety of connected infrastructure sources and sinks to pull data from and push data to. In combination with the REST endpoint, this allows for easy onboarding independent of the data provider and consumer infrastructure setup.
Connect once and share data with different projects. Data Integration acts as a data gateway into Bosch, orchestrating and distributing data based on various elements to designated Bosch projects.
The service is designed to store data with a customizable retention time and a retry mechanism to ensure data delivery, even when a downstream system is unavailable at times.
In combination with other Bosch solutions, Data Integration facilitates the implementation of complex data-driven use cases. Customers benefit from an experienced data integration team that helps during onboarding and maintains the continuously updated service.
The service is compliant with the highest standards for data privacy and security. It is TISAX certified and follows all GDPR requirements.
With its cloud infrastructure DIANA Data Integration is build for scaling business with high Data streaming demands.
Functional Building Blocks#
Multi-Channel Data Ingestion
Data providers (e.g. OEMs) are offered different features to ingest mobility data:
Push: Data ingest via REST API with validation (e.g. max upload size and correct MIME type)
Pull: Data ingest via a source connectors for different data source systems from the data provider
Metadata Extraction: Data source specific meta data is extracted and attached to the ingested data (e.g., ingest time, mime type)
Intelligent Data Distribution
Data consumers can benefit from the following features for receiving mobility data:
Deliver: Data delivery using sink connectors implementing interfaces to different data management sinks
Subscription Filtering: Consuming specific data stream and applying filter criteria on the provided meta data
Data Retention: Storing the data for a specific retention period (e.g. 14 days) to allow for downtimes of the sink system
Flexible Data Processing
Data transformation allows for addition processing steps in between ingest and delivery:
Payload transformation: The original data payload can be changed to fit the interface of a data sink
Data enrichment: The original data can be enriched with additional information to provide more context information (e.g. VIN for vehicles)
Metadata Extraction: Additional meta data can be extracted and added to the data (e.g. Sensoris meta data)
